Simon Hulstone, aged 34, is chef/proprietor of the Elephant restaurant in Torquay, Devon and was awarded a Michelin star five years ago.

Simon is currently Knorr National Chef of the Year and the British representative for the Bocuse d'Or.

Now with over 40 national and international titles to his name, he first came onto the scene with his win in 1995 in Lyon, France at the World Skill Olympics, winning not just the gold but also best in the nation and best in the world of all skills. Simon added to his titles in South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and Canada when representing the British team of chefs.

Also in 2003, Simon won the Roux Scholarship, a title which has helped him network with the best culinary family in the world. Simon has recently competed in the Academy of Culinary Arts MCA and is awaiting the outcome.  He is captain of the English culinary team for the Luxembourg World Cup in 2010 and aims to compete in the Bocuse d'Or again in 2010 and 2011. 

Simon is married to Katy and has 2 children, Tansy and Cicely.
